The provincial nominee programs enable the provinces of Canada to pick out the immigrants they see fit for their labor market. The same applies to the province of Prince Edward Island, which administers the PEI PNP or the Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program with the given guidelines given by the government.

The predicted date for the next draw is December 16, 2021.

Prince Edward Island PNP Express Entry Category

The Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program Express Entry Category is a modified PN, meaning it’s linked with the federal government system for Express Entry. To be acknowledged for the stream, the candidates will require a profile in the system.

The application manager for immigration is known as Express Entry. The three economic-class immigration programs are:

  • Federal Skilled Trades Program or FSTP
  • Canadian Experience Class or CEC
  • Federal Skilled Worker Program or FSWP

Qualified candidates are scored in the CRS or Comprehensive Ranking System on the basis of:

  • Work Experience
  • Education
  • Language Proficiency (English and French)
  • Age

The candidates of Express Entry who receive a provincial nomination are given 600 points in their CRS score and are given the guarantee for an ITA or Invitation to Apply for a permanent residency under a subsequent draw of Express Entry.

To be acknowledged for the provincial nomination from the province, the candidates of Express Entry are required to create an EOI or Expression of Interest profile with Prince Edward Island PNP.

Expression of Interest points is allocated on the basis of the unique points grid of the province. The candidates with the highest score are later invited to apply via the monthly draws.

What is the Labour Impact Category?

The foreign nationals with a legitimate job offer in the province and have the support from the employer are under the Labor Impact Category. This program is segregated into three further categories:

  • International Graduate
  • Skilled Worker
  • Critical Worker

Candidates of this category are expected to submit an EOI or Expression of Interest to be acknowledged for a provincial nomination.

What is the Business Impact Category?

This program requires its candidates to meet the minimum provincial score if they want their applications to proceed further. Every draws the score is different. Solicitations that were sent out were allocated under the work permit stream, that’s been designed for the entrepreneurs who want to open their business in the province.
